Timaná is one of Colombia’s oldest original settlements. It’s a town full of stories, tradition, and culture. Its name originates from the Kechua language meaning “place where ceramics ands colorful geometric handcrafts are made”.
Known for it’s unique geography and water resources, not only is this town surrounded by the Andes mountains but it is also where the Magdalena and Golden Rivers converge. The culmination of the geographic features results in a place that is full of balance and complexity, making it a paradise for coffee.
Coffee growers from Timaná are descendants of three indigenous tribes who worked together to rebel against Spanish conquers. Timaná coffee reflects the character of these tribes and their descendants; determined, uniform, balanced, complex, and full of surprises.
